NTM-PD healthcare professional toolkit
An Educational Resource Support for all Stakeholders in NTM Patient Care
The NTM Action Toolkit is an educational resource for healthcare professionals who are interested in improving the provision of care for patients with pulmonary disease associated with non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM-PD).
This interactive toolkit provides guidance for setting up or co-ordinating an existing NTM service to ensure that patients feel supported and able to access treatment for their condition, which can have a significant impact on their quality of life.
Complementing best practice guidelines for NTM-PD management, the toolkit aligns with advice offered by organisations such as the British Thoracic Society and the British Lung Foundation for the diagnosis, treatment, and assistance of patients.
You can advance through each chapter as you read or head to the contents page to access a different module. Downloadable resources and helpful tips will allow you to gain an insight into diverse aspects of running an effective service for NTM-PD patients, such as putting together a business case, the value of multidisciplinary teams, and optimising patient care.
Development of this non-promotional medical education toolkit was funded by Insmed Ltd and has been devised in consultation with a steering committee of NTM-PD experts.
